SIDE     HUSTLES

I’m a freelancer, which means I get to do a bajillion jobs to make one big job. When I’m not stage managing the next hot thing to hit off-broadway, I’m either temping in an office, working on the production team of a fabulous wedding or event, or concocting ridiculously over-the-top house parties with my friends.

EVENT MANAGEMENT

WITH ÉLAN ARTISTS

Between theatre contracts, I work as a freelance production manager for various immersive and headliner events with Élan Artists. I have worked on events with the best planners and vendors in the business - such as Rafanelli Events, David Stark, Ed Libby, and JZ Events - in some of the most iconic NYC venues, like the Plaza Hotel, The Rainbow Room, Park Avenue Armory, Hall des Lumières, Guastavino's, The Frick, and more. I’ve also been able to travel locally and around the US, working events in exciting locations like Mar-a-Lago (cue: eyeroll) in Palm Beach and the top of Aspen Mountain.

Through my 6 years of work with Élan, I’ve seen an event go from an idea in someone’s mind to guests dancing at the after-party.

EVENT DESIGN

& PRODUCTION

It’s January of 2022 and my friends and I have decided on a whim to throw a dinner party… in the middle of a blizzard. Of course, all we can serve given the circumstances, is soup, cheese, and lots of good wine. We don’t know it at the time, but this dinner party will start us off on a journey of over-the-top holiday installations, tablescapes, custom stationary, and countless nights of fun with our friends.

What started as a passion project is now… still a passion project, but with a much bigger vision. There is so much to celebrate in life and we love to bring folks together to enjoy it. Take a look at some of the parties we’ve thrown in our home and elsewhere. If we can achieve all of this with limited resources, basically no budget, and an iPhone camera, can you imagine what we could do with a few extra bucks?

FILMMAKING

Like so many professionals in the performing arts, most of my jobs were put on hold in March of 2020. Due to the shutdown, I pivoted to work on many different hybrid theatre/film productions with folks of different backgrounds including film/TV, podcasting, songwriting, comedy, and more. Those experiences opened my eyes to the adaptability of theatre-makers and how I may be successful in transitioning between the two worlds.

I have since pursued filmmaking further and was fortunate enough to spend a week at the London Film Academy receiving a certification in directing. During that week, I had the opportunity to direct my own short film, as well as serve as the 1st AD on another.

I was also hired to direct the film shoot of a staged musical called The Monster Who Ate My Peas. In preparation for the shoot, I created storyboards, shot lists, and a script to use in directing the 4 cameras live. I worked closely with the stage director and the DOP to ensure that our visions for the piece were achieved.

Film and television is a new landscape for me and I am eager to expand my skills further! Please take a look at my showreel and get in touch if you’d like to hear more about my filmmaking experience.
