STAGE MANAGEMENT

WHAT EVEN IS A STAGE MANAGER?

Bringing a musical or play to life takes a village and stage managers are a crucial and invaluable part of that team. We are the hub of communication for the show, tracking every element you can think of, from rehearsal schedules to prop movements, dietary restrictions to lighting cues. We are also extremely creative and what we do is art just as much as singing and dancing, costume designing, or directing. Behind our calendars, calling books, contact lists, and cue sheets we are artists.

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE TABLE?

I’m scrappy, levelheaded, curious, and empathetic in every process. I love to collaborate and work with a team that values each member individually and with care. Joy is the most important ingredient. We get to play pretend for a living! If we’re not leading with joy, what are we even doing? If you trust me to join, or even lead your team, I promise to bring skills, smiles, and seltzer.

BUT SERIOUSLY…

As artists, we have a duty to serve our community. I want to tell stories that matter. The commercial theatre scene is plagued by white supremacy and the patriarchy and I want to be a part of the generation that makes theatre to reflect diverse experiences and lifts under-recognized voices. Through this storytelling, I believe we can create change from the inside out.

If you feel the same way and think we would hit it off, I’d love to hear from you!
